Compactors

Decrease the volume of your waste.

A compactor is a machine or mechanism used to reduce the size of material such as waste material or bio mass through compaction. A trash compactor is often used by a home or business to reduce the volume of trash it produces.

The compaction press has been studied to solve any issue related to stocking and transport of large amounts of waste.

This machine is meant to compact and turn urban solid waste into bales of adjustable weight, improving transport efficiency.

The system includes a compaction tunnel. On its inside, a presser pushes the material against a front door. A horizontal door isolates the hopper tunnel and the whole structure, which is supported by four poles (see 3D reconstruction of the system).

Specific conveyor belts unload material inside the hopper and then fill the press loading mouth.
When the compacting process begins, a horizontal door, activated by a hydraulic cylinder named “guillotine,” isolates the hopper compaction tunnel.
