Our DNA
Over the past ten years, our leadership has been focused on steering Genesis towards pioneering circularity solutions in product lifecycle technologies. The impact we have made is reflected in our strategic partnerships and business development efforts, yielding significant project expansions both domestically and internationally.
History
2009-2010
Two guys with a garage and a truck saw a sound business opportunity and responsible governance in a vision of used or discarded everyday electronic devices not going to waste and eventually landfill.

With hard work and growing demand for "end-of-life" product solutions, Genesis Electronics Recycling, Inc. was incorporated, moved to a larger warehouse space and continued its growth as a reliable partner to Chicago businesses in zero-landfill recycling and asset disposition data protection.
2011
Genesis opened a 120k square foot office and warehouse space facility just a few miles north of the previous location. Along with a sizable expansion in square footage and a more modern environment, we added multiple dock doors, improved process flow, and launched new services.

With an early focus on accountability and transparency supported by stringent 3rd party verifications, Genesis became R2 certified. R2 (R2v3 today) certified electronics recycler is one of the highest-earned titles.
2015
With a focus on full-service solutions in secure data destruction, brand protection, product end-of-life, and material circulation solutions suites, we continue to expand our capabilities through robust investment in capital equipment acquisition and adoption of innovative methodologies and technologies.

It developed and implemented a proprietary internal tracking system for a transparent and interactive chain of custody reporting.

With the growth in sustainability initiatives and governance starting to influence US business decisions on previously unaffected levels, we engage in active cross-industry collaboration with industry experts and strategic partnership development to more seamlessly merge operational solutions with sustainability initiatives.
2019
Our focus and efforts are yielding significant domestic and international project expansions. We are growing and managing an extensive EOL and circularity implementation project portfolio with national and international brands and manufacturers.

We increase our investment in developing proprietary project methodology, equipment, and technology. Drive cross-industry collaboration with R&D and sustainability teams. We continue to expand our national logistics and hub footprint through in-house and partnership initiatives.
2021
As Genesis's capabilities and experience are qualitatively increasing with a list of domestic and international brands; the team rebrands itself as the "Genesis Dome" division of Genesis Electronics Recycling, Inc. While we continue to increase and improve our electronics recycling vertical, the new name better reflects and captures our company's overarching capabilities and industry solutions.

We are now heavily focused on designing, developing, implementing, and commercializing programs and solutions in circular technologies. With a vision of sustainability as an everyday reality for US businesses, we have developed comprehensive sustainability reporting capabilities and are experienced in client stakeholder engagement. We continue to invest in methodology, technology, equipment, and R&D collaboration to more seamlessly and effectively merge operational solutions with the implementation of sustainability initiatives.
